Two pit bulls were fatally shot Sunday after breaking free from the person who was walking them at a park in Kaufman County. The dogs, that were on leashes, pulled away from the person while at the park on Spyglass Drive, near Brown Middle School in Forney, about 30 miles east of Dallas, InForney.com reports. The dogs approached a man, who said he felt that his two children and small dog were being threatened, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Jolie Stewart told the news site. The father then pulled out his gun, which he was licensed to carry, and fired, striking both pit bulls.No charges have been filed as of now.
