2 More Die of Flu in Dallas County, Bringing Season's Total to 11

Two more flu deaths in Dallas County were announced Friday, bringing the total this season to 11.A 71-year old from Grand Prairie and a 95-year-old from Mesquite died after complications from the seasonal flu, Dallas County Health and Human Services said. Both had underlying health conditions.No other information about the patients, including the dates of their deaths, was available because of privacy concerns.Flu cases have been on the rise in Texas as this season is on track to be one of the deadliest in years nationally. Dallas-Fort Worth ranked as the seventh-hardest-hit region in the country in a list by Walgreens, which analyzed prescription data for antiviral flu medications.  Continue reading...
