2 Mechanics Die After Being Crushed by Machinery at North Texas Tractor Shop

Two North Texas men died Wednesday after being crushed by heavy machinery they were working on at a Cleburne tractor-equipment shop.Vikunt Chand, 46, of Arlington and Robert Goldberg, 77, of Granbury were pronounced dead around 1 p.m.Chand and Goldberg were working on a skid steer loader at Landmark Equipment in the 2400 block of Weatherford Highway while other employees were taking a lunch break, assistant Cleburne Fire Chief Keith Scarbrough told the Cleburne Times-Review.An employee heard the noise and ran inside, giving the men CPR, Scarbrough told the newspaper. They were taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, where they died from blunt-force injuries.A former co-worker said everyone in the shop was heartbroken and speechless after the incident.  Continue reading...
