2 Injured After Car Crashes Into Steps of Montessori School in South Fort Worth

Two people were injured Wednesday morning when their car crashed into the steps at a school in South Fort Worth. A driver and his passenger were passing Daggett Montessori school shortly after 8 a.m. when he lost control and hit a tree. The car came to a stop when it hit the front steps of the school, at 801 W Jessamine St.No children or staff were injured in the accident, and there was only minor damage to the school, district spokesman Clint Bond said. Bond said the female passenger suffered major injuries in the crash, while the man driving had minor injuries. Although police don't know what caused the driver to lose control, Bond urges anyone driving in school zones to slow down and obey traffic laws.
