2 Cousins Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Garland Gas Station Clerk

Two Dallas cousins were arrested Tuesday in the Saturday slaying of a convenience store clerk in Garland, police said. Manish Panday was fatally shot shortly before midnight at the Exxon in the 4700 block of Broadway Boulevard when two men went into the store and attempted to rob the clerk. Panday was shot after a struggle in which investigators think he was attempting to disarm the men.Police arrested 23-year-old Darrell Dewayne Nash, who was shot in the leg during the struggle, and 19-year-old Chavez Tryee Nash.Detectives received a tip that helped identify the two suspects.
