2 Boys Home Alone Injured in Arlington House Fire

Two boys who were home alone were hospitalized after a fire broke out in their house Monday night in Arlington.The fire broke out around 10 p.m. in the rear of a home in the 2600 block of Partridge Avenue, a few blocks south of Interstate 20 in west Arlington, fire officials said.One of the children was found outside with a bleeding hand who told firefighters he couldn't find his younger brother and his dog.The second child and dog were found inside the home, where hoarding conditions made it difficult to search, officials said.Both children were hospitalized, including one with injuries from broken glass, officials said. Three cats inside were lost in the fire.No firefighters were injured.The boys' parents weren't home when the fire broke out, according to KXAS-TV (Channel 5).  Continue reading...
