2 Arrested, Another Possibly at Large in Slaying at Garland Apartment

Two men have been charged with murder in a slaying at a Garland apartment last month — but a third person may still be at large, police say.Police found Larry Donnell Smith Jr., 32, shot the night of April 24 at the Richland Apartments in the 3200 block of Buckingham Road, near North Jupiter Road. He was unconscious when officers arrived, and he died a short time later at Medical Center of Plano.Investigators determined that Deshon Lampkins, 40, and Jameel Moffett, 39, both of Dallas, were suspects in the slaying and obtained arrested warrants for them.Lampkins was arrested at an apartment complex in the 4700 block of North Galloway Avenue in Mesquite, police said. Moffett was arrested in the 500 block of Easton Road in Dallas.Lampkins and Moffett each face one count of murder.
