19-year-old Man Dies in Apparent Drowning at Splash Kingdom Water Park in Canton

A 19-year-old man died Sunday after after he was pulled unconscious from a pool at Splash Kingdom water park in Canton, police said.Police in Canton, about 50 miles southeast of Dallas, responded to a drowning call at the park just before 5 p.m. Sunday.The man, whose name was not released, was unresponsive when he was pulled from the 10-foot-deep pool and didn't respond to CPR or defibrillation from park employees, police said. He was flown to a hospital in Tyler, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will determine his cause of death."The health and safety of our guests is our highest priority and we are honored by the opportunity to serve you and your family," Splash Kingdom said in a Facebook post.
