19-year-old Child Molester Who Made Toddler Pose for Porn Gets 35 Years

A 19-year-old Balch Springs man was sentenced to 35 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to multiple counts of production of child pornography. Francisco Javier Lopez Echeverria took explicit images of a toddler he lived with for several months last year, according to court documents.Echeverria was sentenced Monday after being arrested in August and pleading guilty to the charges in December, according the U.S. attorney's office.In several of the images and videos, Echeverria touches the child's genitals, according to his indictment. In May 2016, Dallas police received a tip that child pornography had been uploaded to several Flickr accounts that were traced back to Echeverria's phone.When police searched his home, they found the boy and two phones containing child porn. Several photos and videos depict Echeverria touching the infant in a sexual manner.Beyond photos of the boy, Echeverria possessed hundreds of additional photos of nude toddlers and infants, some of whom are known sexual abuse victims. At the time, he denied taking the images for his own sexual gratification.Echeverria will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life upon his release from prison.  Continue reading...
