17-year-old Girl Claimed in Video She'd Be ‘the Next School Shooter,' Hood County Authorities Say

A 17-year-old girl has been arrested after authorities said she shared a video online over the weekend in which she threatened to shoot up a Granbury high school.Sierra Noel Mendoza, 17, faces a misdemeanor charge of exhibition, threat or use of firearms.Hood County deputies said they were notified around 12:30 p.m. Saturday that Mendoza, who attends STARS Accelerated High School in the 300 block of North Hannaford Street, had posted a video in which she said she "was the next school shooter."The school was on spring break, and there are no known threats against students or the campus, Granbury ISD said on Twitter.  Continue reading...
