11-year-old Boy Dies Trying to Jump Fence at Fort Worth Apartment Complex

An 11-year-old boy died after he was impaled trying to jump over a metal fence Monday night in Fort Worth.Jean Pierre Mwenge was part of a group playing inside a fenced-in pool area around 7 p.m. in an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Baroque Drive, police said.When they were told to leave the area, some of them jumped the fence to get away, police said. The child may have lost his footing trying to get over the fence, police said.He was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, police said.  Continue reading...
