1 Killed, 2 Injured in Fiery Crash in North Richland Hills

One person was killed and two others injured Tuesday night after their car was struck by a truck and burst into flames, North Richland Hills police said. About 6:15 p.m., a 2016 Chevrolet Cruz was struck by a northbound Ford F150 after attempting to cross the 8000 block of Boulevard 26 at Birchwood Drive, police said. The car stopped on the east side of the roadway and burst into flames. The impact of the crash caused the truck to continue into the southbound lanes of traffic, where it struck a black Lexus sedan that was stopped in heavy traffic, police said. One person in the Chevrolet died at the scene. The victim's identity will be released after the family has been notified, officials said. Two other people in the burning car escaped and were taken by ambulance to an area hospital. Their conditions were not available. The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from Colleyville, and the Lexus driver, a 26-year-old Fort Worth man, were uninjured.   Continue reading...
