1 Injured During Armed Robbery in South Dallas

One person was injured during an armed robbery Monday night in South Dallas. The victim told officers that he and another person were standing outside of a truck in the 4800 block of Spring Avenue about 8 p.m. when two suspects pulled up in a dark colored 4-door sedan, Dallas police spokeswoman Debra Webb wrote in an email. He said both suspects were carrying what looked like shotguns, which they pointed at the victims while they demanded property. The first victim said after they were robbed, one of the suspects pointed his gun at him and fired one shot. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Both suspects got back in the vehicle and fled, the two witnesses told police. Another armed robbery occurred in Red Bird overnight, which left one person injured.
