One person was fatally shot at an apartment complex near the Galleria shopping mall in Far North Dallas overnight. A friend of the victim found him dead in a unit in the 5400 block of Peterson Lane, near Alpha Road and Montfort Drive, about 11:45 p.m. Thursday. The victim's identification has not been released. Two suspects fled from the scene. Homicide detectives were dispatched and the crime scene unit and medical examiner were requested.
