1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured in Shooting Outside Far East Dallas Convenience Store

A shooting Wednesday afternoon in Far East Dallas left one person dead and one critically injured, officials said.Sgt. Warren Mitchell, a Dallas police spokesman, said the shooting took place about 2:40 p.m. outside a convenience store in the 11700 block of Ferguson Road, near Interstate 635. A man walked up to three people in front of the store and started shooting, then fled in a black vehicle.One of the victims died on the way to a hospital, one suffered critical injuries and the third had injuries that weren't expected to be life-threatening.
