Need a cool treat to beat the Texas heat? From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, Sonic will be giving away free root beer floats to DFW customers.
The "Big 6 Pass" is on sale at Six Flags Over Texas. The pass lets visitors inside the gates six times for the price of a single-day pass, $49.99 plus tax.
The Dallas Independent School District's "Thriving Minds" summer camp still has free spots open for elementary and middle school students. Food, arts, activities and transportation are all available for free. Call 469-916-9835 for more information.
Friday is National Donut Day and Krispy Kreme and Dunkin are celebrating. Krispy Kreme is giving a free donut to anyone who stops by. At Dunkin Donuts, customers can get one free donut with the purchase of any beverage.

On Saturday, the Nasher Sculpture Center in downtown Dallas is offering free admission from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can take part in making free art, take tours and take part in yoga in the garden. The center kicked off "Summer at the Nasher" on June 1.
On Sunday, admission is free for the entire family at Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park between the hours of noon and 4 p.m.
