Dallas Green Festival This Weekend

Expect more bikes, less cars Saturday

Expect to see more people riding their bikes through downtown Dallas this weekend.

The fourth annual Dallas Green Festival starts Saturday.

The eco-friendly event asks cyclists to bike through downtown Dallas and Deep Ellum starting Saturday at 10 a.m. before meeting up at Fair Park for the shindig.

Started by the cityโ€™s Office of Environmental Quality to promote a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, the festival takes place at the Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park.

This is the second year the festival has happened in Fair Park at Texas Discovery Gardens.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Admission to the Green Festival is free. In addition, event-goers can enter the Texas Discovery Gardenโ€™s Butterfly House and Insectarium for a discounted rate of $3.
