FAMILY OF HIT-AND-RUN VICTIM PLEADS FOR HELP

SCHOOL LOCKED DOWN AFTER THREATS OF MASS FIGHTING
School security officers at Everman Junior High School used handheld metal detectors to check each of the schools 750 students Friday morning after hearing rumors that some students were planning a huge fight on campus. (NBC DFW)

BOOT BANDIT MAKES OFF WITH $3 MILLION BOOTY
Fort Worth police said $3 million in boots were taken from the Justin Boot Distribution Center during two different burglaries. On both occasions the boot bandit cut the chain that locked the gate to the distribution center and used a white single-cab tractor to hook up to the trailers and leave the property. (NBC DFW)

FORMER PEE WEE COACH INDICTED ON CHILD PORN CHARGES ARRESTED IN LEWISVILLE
Danny Lott, a former Pee Wee football coach who was indicted on child pornography charges Sept. 18, was captured in Lewisville, where U.S. Marshals Deputy Chance Ferguson said he was living with an acquaintance. (Big Country)

20 ARRESTED IN RAID OF ARLINGTON STRIP CLUB
An Arlington strip club reopened Friday after police raided it on Thursday evening as part of a drug investigation, authorities said. Twenty people were arrested during the raid at Chicas Locas in the 3400 block of West Division Street , including Bridgett Alford, 24, a dancer, and Jose Ceja-Buenrostro, 57, a bathroom attendant. THIEVES STEAL FLAT-SCREEN TVS FROM STORES
Frisco police said two to three thieves broke into nearly a dozen stores and stole flat-screen televisions last week. Investigators said the thieves have been hitting up stores in other North Texas cities, including Plano and Richardson.

ROBBER HITS CONVENIENCE STORES
Fort Worth police said a man has robbed more than a dozen convenience stores. Investigators said he walks in, asks the clerk for a cigar and hands over a dollar. When the register opens, the man pulls out a gun and grabs the cash out of the drawer.

CATTLE THIEVES ROPE IN COWS, BULLS FROM DENTON COUNTY RANCH
The Denton County Sheriff's Department is asking for help catching cattle thieves. An employee at the Paddock Ranch in Krum noticed the animals missing on Sunday and contacted police. The eleven cows and two Black Angus bulls are valued at about $1,700.

$25,000 REWARD OFFERED IN UNSOLVED SLAYING 
A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest in the death of a North Richland Hills woman. Marianne Wilkinson, 68, was killed when she opened her front door last December.

UNT FOOTBALL PLAYER ACCUSED OF CREDIT CARD ABUSE
A University of North Texas football player was arrested Friday on suspicion of debit or credit card abuse. Forrest Rucker, a freshman wide receiver, turned himself in to police for an outstanding warrant for two felony charges. He was released on a $5,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to two years in prison.
