Dallas Firefighters and water utility crews are all working to cap a major water main break.
The break happened in the 9600 block of Rylie Road near I-20 and Highway 175.
Water could be seen flooding the street and coming very close to nearby homes.
Water rushed down Jose Tinakero's driveway and through his yard. He and other family members hurried to save belongings in the yard. Thankfully, water stopped at the edge of the porch.
While Tinakero says both his basement and garage flooded, he was grateful it wasn't worse. He plans to survey the damage once everything dries out.
Rylie Creek runs through this area as well, and with all the recent rain, the water main break is only adding to flooding concerns.
