Cowboys Stadium to Host 2014 Men's Final Four

Arlington's new Cowboys Stadium will host the NCAA Men's Final Four games in April of 2014.

The announcement today sets dates for the college basketball competition to be in New Orleans in 2012, Atlanta in 2013, Arlington in 2014, Indianapolis in 2015, and Houston in 2016.

Division I Men's Basketball Committe Chair and Southeastern Conference Comissioner Mike Slive indicated the process was competitive and grueling in a NCAA news release.

This is the second Final Four to be hosted in the north Texas area, as Dallas' Reunion Arena hosted the event in 1986.

Arlington's new Cowboys Stadium factored largely in the decision.

"When finished, the new stadium in Arlington will create a flexible 'canvas' for the Final Four. We think the venue offers exciting opportunities and a unique experience for everyone involved," said Slive.
