“Concerts In the Garden” Kicks Off This Weekend

Annual concert series begins this weekend at Fort Worth Botanic Garden

The Forth Worth Symphony's annual summer staple "Concerts In The Garden" starts this weekend featuring a number of popular musical performances.  This year's concert series will offer 16 nights of concerts from June 5th through July 5th at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Attendees come out in masses with blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy both the music and the beauty of the Botanic Garden.  The series typically draws an attendance of more than 45,000 people.

Concertgoers can also join in Fort Worth's effort to "go green."  Concerts in the Garden provides ways for attendees to recycle their glass, aluminum cans, plastic bottles and cups, paper programs and cardboard.

This weekend's kickoff lineup includes performances by soul and funk band Mingo Fishtrap, Grammy-award winning country group Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, and the "flower power"-inspired coverband The Crawfish.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and concerts start at 8:00 p.m. Each performance in the series will be followed by a dazzling fireworks show--be sure to stick around until the very end!

Lawn tickets for adults are $15 in advance at $18 at the gate.  Children ages 10 and below may attend for free when accompanied by an adult.  Spots at reserved tables can also be purchased in advance for $22-$42 for adults and $25-45 at the gate.  Table tickets for children ages 10 and below range from $10-$42 in advance and $10-$45  at the gate.
