MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29

At 6 p.m., nine Green Room alums will band together for a special dinner benefitting former Green Room sous chef James Pitzer and his family who lost their home to a fire. Chefs Joel Harloff, Marc Cassel, Garreth Dickey, Susan Fries, Colleen O'Hare, Jeana Johnson, Randall Copeland, Katie Brown and David Uygur will create a five-course dinner with wine pairings. Tickets are $85; you can also send donations via PayPal using the account address iampoem@gmail.com.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30

From 5–9 p.m., head to NorthPark for the inaugural Gingertown Dallas event. More than 25 local design firms will construct gingerbread houses on Level One near Nordstrom during the live competition. The exhibit will be on display through December 25. Following the exhibition, the houses will be donated and displayed at children's charities.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 1

From 11 a.m.–7 p.m., all DFW MOOYAH locations will give a free junior burger to customers who bring an article of children's clothing to donate to the Vogel Alcove Center for Homeless Children. Free burgers are available for one day only, but donations will be accepted through December 12.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2

At 7 p.m., FoodPornDaily.com creator Amanda Simpson will be hosting a book signing at Borders on Preston and Royal. The FoodPornDaily cookbook features over 250 pages of Amanda's favorite recipes and photos of dishes from the past year.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3

From 6–8 p.m., Nana will celebrate the wines of Chile with its monthly Friday Night Flight. Chef Anthony Bombaci will create a trio of elegantly refined dishes paired with savory Chilean wines selected by wine steward Russel Burkett. The flight is $20 per person.
