Biggest Loser Contestant Running Toward New Goal

Allen mom has sights on Boston Marathon

Training for the Boston marathon is a lofty goal for anyone, but for Tracey Yukich, it's miles from where she started her weight loss journey.

"I never in a million years thought I would be running a marathon. My heart rate is going up right now just talking about it," said Yukich.

As a contest on season 8 of "The Biggest Loser", Tracey had one of the most dramatic moments in the shows history. During her first challenge, a mile long run on the beach, she collapsed from heat stroke.

"I remember going over the hill and kind of feeling my legs were kind of weak," said Yukich.

As bad as it looked to viewers at home, she says she was sicker than anyone could have realized.

"When I woke up in the hospital, I didn't know who I was. I lost my memory," said Yukich of her ordeal.

"I did not know my name was Tracey. I didn't know I was the mom of children.  I didn't know I was married to my husband, Nick, for 15 years," said Yukich as tears welled up in her eyes.

After two weeks in the hospital, Tracey finally made it to "The Biggest Loser" ranch losing a total of 118 pounds by the show's finale.

With the casting call for next season tomorrow, she says she's proof anyone can change their life.

"I'm just like everybody else. I'm a mom from Allen Texas. I went for a casting call just like they're going to do tomorrow," said Yukich.

"The Biggest Loser" is holding an open casting call Saturday; March 20 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist Dallas Medical Center located at 221 West Colorado Street at Bishop in Dallas.
