Arlington Takes Delivery of 50-Foot Blue Spruce

The city of Arlington put up its 2010 Christmas Tree Tuesday.

The 50-foot Michigan Blue Spruce tree was secured upright in front of City Hall at 10 a.m.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, decorators will install more than 1,000 lights and ornaments.

The tree will be officially lit during the city's Holiday Lights parade on Dec. 11.

The city says "the parade will feature lighted floats, antique cars, marching bands, youth groups, holiday dancers, mounted units and more. Holiday entertainment will begin at 4 p.m. in Founders Plaza at the Levitt Pavilion, across the street from City Hall. The parade will start at 6 p.m."
