We can’t decide the best reason to attend Addison Oktoberfest this weekend--but there are definitely several great reasons to go!
The cultural and culinary event takes place in a 30,000 sq. ft., air-conditioned “Schloss Addison” tent.
Start with a glass stein brimming with cold Spaten Oktoberfest bier or Franziskaner Hefe Weissen, a wheat bier. Then get a plate of German sausage, sauerkraut, strudel, or German Sweet Kettle Korn, and find a good place to watch German entertainers in authentic costumes perform.
There will be traditional Bavarian folk dances, schuhplattling, oompah music, sing-a-longs, yodels, and more.
There are carnival rides, midway games, children’s entertainment and activities and a 5K run and 1 mile kids fun run benefiting Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer. For the adults, there will be daily beer and wine educational seminars (in case you’re not sure if you’re enjoying them correctly).
