9/26-27: Cowtown Weekend

MY LITTLE FULL-GROWN PONY: What's smaller than some Afghan hounds, has hooves, and is led around by the bridles of babes? An American Miniature horse. The little 'uns trot into Will Rogers Saturday for the AMHA World Championship Show, with gates opening daily at 8AM until October 3.

CLOSING CULTURE SHOCK: Day in the District, Fort Worth's version of carte blanche for all shades of art enthusiasts, opens the doors of the hottest destinations in Cowtown all day Saturday and sends ticket takers home. The Amon Carter Museum, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the Kimbell Art Museum, the Log Cabin Village, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame participate and the day is slammed with free performances.

YOU MIGHT BE IN FORT WORTH IF: The South's favorite blue collar diplomat is back onstage. Jeff Foxworthy's lasting empire shows he's smarter than some fifth graders, and he's gonna stand up and show us all on Sunday at Bass Hall with shows at 2PM and 7PM.
