9/14: Blue Man Tuesday

I’M BLUE (DA BA DEE, DA BA DIE): There are very few people that can rock blue paint from head to toe while performing in front of thousands on stage – other than Lady Gaga dressed in some sea creature-inspired ensemble. The blue-faced trio rightfully known as the “Blue Men,” doesn’t speak, laugh, or show any sign of emotion other than surprise when they bang random objects like no tomorrow. Blue Man Group began in the ‘80’s and has since appeared in live performances all across the world. Tonight they take the Dallas stage at the Winspear Opera House at 8 p.m. with shows running until Sept. 26.

KNOTS BE GONE: Nothing like a good massage for a cause (and for releasing back tension). The kneading masters at Massage Envy are partnering up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to bring a day full of therapeutic massage heaven properly titled Massage for the Cure. Anyone visiting Massage Envy today will pay $49 for a one-hour relaxation session.  Along with the discounted sessions, all DFW locations will donate a portion of the proceeds to support breast cancer research and treatment. Click here for locations and schedule a massage today.

BACK IN THE PERFORMING GROOVE: Crystal Castles, the experimental electronic band from Canada is back in Dallas tonight for the performance that should’ve been over a year ago. The duo canceled just as the show was set to start in April 2009 citing faulty equipment. This time around eager fans can flock to see the international electo globe trotters back in business set to take the House of Blues stage at 8 p.m. (hopefully) with Mr. Kitty as the opening act.
