1/3: Meditate With a “Bachelor” and “Panther”

Start this Monday off with a meditation session, a "Bachelor" watch party and "The Pink Panther."

RECHARGE, REDISCOVER, ENLIGHTEN: It’s the first Monday in 2011. Ditch the Monday blues and start fresh with an empowering reflection session at Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre in Farmers Branch. For the first five Mondays in January from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the meditation destination will offer free guidance and exercise classes for anyone interested in embracing inner peace in the New Year. Let go of the woos that bogged you down in 2010 and enjoy some time for yourself.

BACHELOR WATCH PARTY: Tonight, join blogger Reality Steve and Tanner Pope from season 5 of “The Bachelorette” at Bailey’s Prime Plus at Park Lane for the season 15 premiere watch party of “The Bachelor.” For those unfamiliar with the current “Bachelor”, Brad Womack is the (former) most hated “Bachelor” in America after rejecting all 25 contestants when he first appeared on season 11. Sip on half-price cocktails, wine and beer, while dining on half-off entrees and watch all the drama begin. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m.

CHILDREN AS PANTHERS: The clumsy Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau takes on another bizarre case in his effort to save the world from dastardly criminals all on the Garland Civic Theatre stage. Watch the production of “The Pink Panther Strikes Again” as part of the Children on Stage arm of the theatre. Bring the whole family to the theatre for a day of theatre delight. Tickets are $10. Showtimes are at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
