1/18: Delicious Helping

SLAM, BAM, MA'AM: Art Conspiracy 5 definitely drew 2,200 people and raised $20,000 (and unquantifiable awareness) for Resolana. A justifiable celebration finally ensues as rockin' neighborhood advocate Jason Roberts of The Happy Bullets and Chad Stockslager of The King Bucks provide cheer that's good for everybody at the ArtCon Thanks Party. Double Wide, $5 for those who didn't volunteer or make art for ArtCon 5. 7PM.

DISCERNING TASTE: The neatest big-ticket fundraiser so far this year hits the Southlake Hilton tonight. Mid-Cities Supporters of Safe Haven presents the 4th Annual Celebrity Chefs fundraiser, a night of instant culinary gratification with dinner by DFW favorites like Chef Morris Salerno of The Grotto in Lewisville and Chef Manuel Vera of Truluck's in Southlake, and a gourmet experience auction during which you could win a dinner party catered by one of the gems. Tickets are $125 to help end family violence in Tarrant County -- that's two upscale dinner dates, for you high-rollers. 6-9PM.

STRIKE A POSE: Worry not, normal people with pressing bills: you can also spend your Monday night social time on a good cause tonight. For a sixth of the SOS event's cost, snack on Cuba Libre's fresh appetizers and sip specialty cocktails in the name of Promise House, a nonprofit that serves homeless, runaway and at-risk teens. There's also something about a red carpet and paprazzi photographers. Don't let that deter you from experiencing the plantain chips. Tickets are $25 at the door. 7PM.
