11/28-29: Kind of a Big Deal

CAN WE DANCE? Off the heels of a sold-out stint at New York's Beacon Theatre, DJ Lance Rock and the Yo Gabba Gabba crew blips and bleeps their way to Frisco's Dr. Pepper Arena. What's the reason for the party? It's not like the five colorful creatures and their Ben Vereen-style supervisor ever needed an excuse to dance it up, but their new album Music is Awesome did just drop on shelves everywhere. If you Sesame kids are scratching your heads, The New York Times has more on the curious phenomenon here. Tickets are still available for Saturday's 11AM and 3PM shows; find them at the venue's Web site.

DECK THE RINK: It's as close as we get to Rockefeller Center, and heck, there's a Macy's close by. The Grand Tree Lighting Ceremonies at Galleria Dallas feature U.S. National Skating Champions and talent contending for spots in the U.S. Winter Olympics speeding along under the mammoth Christmas tree we native Dallasites with mall-adoring mothers treasure from our childhood. And don't forget Missile Toes, the niblest Santa Claus in town, who'll appear at each installment. Saturday at 5PM.

NAME IN LIGHTS: So we're not big Chelsea Handler fans. But the same voyeuristic bug lurking within us that incited a discreet page-through of her first book, My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands, is the what gets some spewing celebrity news of questionable source, a lot of which said some may have heard via Chelsea Lately on the E! network. The comedians that flock Handler on the show will be at House of Blues on Saturday without their queen bee, but surely with her spirit. 8:30PM. Tickets here.
