11/26: All The World's A Stage

LET IT SNOW PUPPETS: One of Hans Christian Anderson’s most acclaimed fairy tales comes to (puppet) life at the Rosewood Center. The Snow Queen tells the story of  (gasp) an evil Snow Queen and the classic battle between good and evil. The scary fairy tale revolves around two kids - Kai (little boy) and Gerda (little girl). When the Snow Queen kidnaps Kai, turning his heart to ice, Gerda comes to his rescue battling any and all obstacles to save him from the evil queen‘s clutches.  Performed by Kathy Burks’ traveling puppeteer troupe - see how puppet fairy tale drama plays out on stage. Tickets run from $14 to $25. The snow show runs until Dec. 23.

ICY MALL MAGIC: Galleria Dallas is making use of that big ol’ skating rink in the center of the mall. As Black Friday shoppers scurry from store to store, Holiday Magic on Ice will be happening on level one. Featuring 2010 USA Pair Champions, Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig - the ice skating celebration will also feature Ol’ Saint Nick performing some fancy footwork (under the identity of “Missile Toes“) on the ice. The skating spectacular begins at noon followed by a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. If you’re out scoring shopping deals elsewhere, no worries, the holiday magic continues with different skating champions gracing the rink. Click here for all dates and times.

HERE COME THE REINDEERS: Thanksgiving is out of the way, now the  Christmas celebrating season begins, yet again with Rudolph and his red nose making an appearance at the Casa Manana theater in Fort Worth way before his busiest night of the year. Opening tonight, is the stage version story about Santa’s lead reindeer. See how the actors capture the essence of the life and times of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Tickets are between $20 and $22 with curtain at 7 p.m. The show runs until Dec. 23.
