11/22: Wedding Guru in the Big D

David Tutera chats about wedding dos and don'ts

THE WEDDING GURU: You’ve found the perfect venue, the floral arrangements, the (gulp) bridesmaid dresses – all prime for a makeover by wedding planner extraordinaire David Tutera. The WE TV wedding expert will dish on all the behind-the-scenes details from his hit show “My Fair Wedding” along with a few tips for brides-to-be at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Take a quick Facebook pic with the wedding connoisseur and snag an autographed copy of his new book, "The Big White Book of Weddings" before preparing a walk down the aisle.

SIP ON THIS: Start the week off right with a bit of mojito drinking and making. Learn that art of the Cuban-born spearmint drink as La Duni Café on McKinney celebrates Mojito Mondays – offering mojito how-to classes at 5:30 p.m. The night of mojito madness is presented by Bacardi Rums, so for 12 bucks receive expert advice on how to make a Caribbean cocktail classic.

STRETCH IT OUT: Before turkey day adds a little more cushion to your waistline, prepare for the national feasting holiday with a bit of yoga stretching. The W Dallas hosts the Vino and Vinyasa Series every other Monday until December 20. Feel zen-sational after an hour of chakra balancing and vino sipping. The evening of yoga and wine costs 10 bucks and lasts from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be held in the hotel’s Living Room Terrace. Space is limited, so RSVP to 01521@whotels.com.
