NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIVE: Traveling the globe, taking snapshots of the most obscure places and people is no small task, but for over 25 years, Annie Griffiths has been armed with her camera and hunger for adventure working with National Geographic. From swimming alongside sea turtles in the Galapagos Islands to trekking the Middle Eastern desert, tonight the veteran photographer chats about some of her journeys as part of the 2010-2011 Brinker International Forum Season at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Hear from the woman behind the lens at the Winspear Opera House beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $150.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: Spend the evening indoors away from the snowy temps and explore “People,” a photography exhibition by Andrew Kyle at the Janette Kennedy Gallery in South Side on Lamar. Browse Kyle’s photographs that capture everyday people living everyday lives and meet the man behind the art from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, with a portion of the proceeds from art sales benefit ting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

A SHOW FOR THE ALL AGES: Hear what the Sub Pop music game is all about tonight at the Sons of Hermann Hall in Dallas. Beginning at 8 p.m., watch Los Angeles Pop duo No Age fresh from the their week-long television appearance high, hit the stage with Total Abuse and Rene Hell. Tickets are $13. Doors open at 7 p.m.
