Photo Shop Sees Surge in Business After Kacey Musgraves Visit

A small photo shop in Los Angeles that has not changed much since the 1990s has had a boom of business in the past week, simply because Texan Kacey Musgraves took a liking to it.

The Los Angeles Times reports Musgraves' sister is a photographer and needed film developed quickly, so they found Tom's One Hour Photo. It's cash only and it has no internet presence, but Musgraves fell in love with its nostalgic portrait sessions.

She and her sister created an appreciation Instagram account on behalf of the shop, and Musgraves plugged it on her social media.

Musgraves says her parents owned a mom-and-pop print shop for decades and she has "a soft spot for the dreamer."

Owner Tom Tuong says he's not sure what to do about the popularity, but he has called in all his family members to help.
