French Open Puts “Days of Our Lives,” Meredith Vieira on Hold

Do not fret "Days of Our Lives" fans, you are not missing your favorite soap about fictional Midwestern town of Salem, it's on hold for two days.

NBC 5 Today at 11 a.m., "Days of Our Lives" and "The Meredith Vieira Show" are being preempted Thursday and Friday for the French Open.

On tap Thursday, the Women's Semifinals from Roland Garros in Paris, France. Ana Ivanovic is in a Grand Slam semifinal for the first time since 2008 and faces Lucie Safarova; Serena Williams is 30-1 this year and plays Timea Bacsinszky.

On Friday, it'll be the Men's Semifinals. Top-seeded Novak Djokovic has a 27-match winning streak and is 18-8 in the head-to-head series with Andy Murray, who has won 15 consecutive clay-court matches.

NBC 5 Today at 11 a.m., "Days of Our Lives" and "The Meredith Vieira Show" return Monday.
