New Dating Site for Trump Supporters Wants to ‘Make Dating Great Again'

Dating can be hard enough. It’s even harder during a decisive election year. That’s why a 35-year-old Californian created, in an effort to “make dating great again.”

The dating site’s home page greets users with smiling young couples photoshopped onto an American flag, promising to help them connect with fellow supporters of Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, in their area.

David Goss, a lifelong Republican, told the New York Post he came up with the idea for the dating site after his Trump-supporting female friend was left to foot the bill when her date, a Clinton fan, walked out on her after hearing her political beliefs.

“I think there’s a special stigma when people say they’re supporting Trump, because some of the brash things that he’s said,” Goss, an associate TV producer, told the New York Post. “That immediately gets (projected) on his supporters, and it makes it hard for them when they’re trying to date.”

Others seem to agree with Goss, as the site has already helped “make dating great again” for hundreds of Trump supporters.'s users mostly come from traditionally blue areas—Washington DC, New York and Los Angeles—according to USA Today.

The site plans to launch a mobile app in the coming weeks, according to Goss, in hopes of driving up the number of users.

But, only those serious about finding their one special Trump supporter need apply, as Goss insisted to the New York Post that the site is not a “hookup service” but committed to helping people find “real love.”

Of course, for those looking to get far away from Trump and his supporters, there’s always Maple Match, the Austin-based site which says it helps Americans find a Canadian partner “to save them from the unfathomable horror of a Trump presidency.”
