“Century” Party to Light Up West 7th Bridge

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will flip the switch to officially light up the newly completed West 7th Street Bridge.

The new arches on the bridge include LED lighting that will be activated on November 15 during what organizer Streams and Valleys calls "the party of the century."

Don't chalk that title up to prideful bluster, they're actually referencing the bridge's 100-year history.

"This is a unique project worthy of a unique celebration and the bridge metaphor couldn't be more apt," said City of Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price.  "This is our chance to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 7th Street bridge with a once-in-a-lifetime event."

Once the switch is flipped, the bridge will become a nightclub complete with music from Johnny Reno and gourmet bites from chefs from Bonnells Texas, Ellerbe Fine Foods, Reata, GRACE, The Capital Grille, and others.

Tickets are available for $77 each for the Nov. 15 party. A free event featuring a parade, dedication, and street festival will happen the following day, Nov. 16.
