Observation Deck at Reunion Tower Reopens Saturday

New GeO-Deck at Reunion Tower features several interactive elements

The observation deck at Reunion Tower has been closed for six years, but this weekend it will reopen and give visitors a whole new view of Dallas.

The whole experience 500 feet over Dallas is interactive and gives people a new way to learn about Dallas, said Chris Kleinert with Hunt Realty Investments said.

"So what we really tried to do is come up with ways to educate the people, educate our guests on what are the great things that Dallas has to offer," said Kleinert. "What are the great museums, great things to do that maybe you don't even know about?"

When visitors walk in they'll be greeted with walls and ceilings highlighted with color-changing lights.

The floor is a map of the city that is so detailed you can find specific residential streets.

Telescopes provide a view so vivid, you can see people standing half a mile away and, on a clear day, you can see all the way to Fort Worth.

"It really manifested itself into this technological halo you see here -- all the different ways to interact with the view and really learn more about the city," Kleinert said.

The observation deck at Reunion Tower open Saturday. Tickets range between $8 and $16.
