Cowboy Stadium Set to Host Rodeo Competition

24 professional bull riders will participate

Two prized bucking bulls named Bushwacker and Asteroid weighed in on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s fourth annual Dickies Iron Cowboy competition at Dallas Cowboy stadium in Arlington.

Officials touted the bulls as the toughest in the world.

Bushwacker weighs 1,655 pounds and Asteroid at 1,425 pounds.

The two bucking bulls are the headliners for the annual competition where the world's top 24 bull riders will go head-to-head, in a single elimination event to be named the Iron Cowboy.

Each rider will potentially face five bulls in one night, including Bushwacker.

This will be Bushwacker’s third appearance at Cowboys Stadium.

Despite the potential danger, professional bull rider Douglas Duncan is aiming to tame the bulls and win on Saturday night.

"Yeah it's dangerous but I worked for it my entire life,” Duncan said. “I'd rather live life on my feet than die on my knees so I’m going to do what makes me happy."

At the end of the competition, there is a $100,000 prize for the winner.
