Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan Kick Off ACM Awards Weekend

The 50th Academy of Country Music Awards held a half-hour "ACM Awards Pregame Press Conference" with hosts Luke Bryan & Blake Shelton Friday morning.

Show executives R.A. Clark, Bob Romeo and Jack Sussman also attended.

The group discussed the show's move to Texas for the golden anniversary and efforts to to set a historical Guinness World Record® for the Most Attended Live Awards Show.

Bryan, who is co-hosting the ACM Awards for the third consecutive year, is also nominated for five awards including his fifth consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year nomination.

Shelton, a five-time ACM Awards co-host, received his fifth consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year nomination as well as his fourth nomination in the Vocal Event of the Year category.

Performers announced for the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards include: Jason Aldean, Christina Aguilera (surprise duet), Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Reba, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn (Reunion for first televised performance together since 2010), Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and Nick Jonas with Dan + Shay.

Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Reba, George Strait, Taylor Swift, and Brooks & Dunn will also be honored with the prestigious ACM 50th Anniversary Milestone Award commemorating their groundbreaking career achievements in ACM Awards history.

The seven honorees will each receive an exclusive trophy created by renowned jewelry and timepiece designer, David Yurman.

The show is scheduled for Sunday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
