The greatest football event here in North Texas hosts its 15th annual football game. NBC 5 invites you and the family to come out to this year’s Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl hosted at the Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Dec. 23, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
In honor of our veterans and active duty military, the game’s theme recognizes those who are serving our country. This year’s game will pit the Conference USA against Army West Point, in what is to be a close game for the winning of the Armed Forces Bowl championship trophy.
The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl will begin with the kickoff luncheon, with featured keynote speaker and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Tim Brown. Before the big game, gather with other fans at the Tailgate Outpost outside of Amon G. Carter Stadium in Lot 3. The Tailgate Outpost will be free to the public and will consist of a pregame concert, interactive displays, military hardware, games and prizes.
In recognition of our patriots, during the game, the armed forces will present demonstrations by the military’s top skydiving teams. The honor of the night will be the awarding of The Great American Patriot Award presented by Armed Forces Insurance. This award is given to recognize an individual who has proven their dedication to this country and to our citizens.
