D'Oh: Susan Boyle Freezes Mid-Song on “The View”

Susan Boyle never dreamed she’d have a nightmare performance like this.

During her appearance on “The View” Tuesday, the Scottish crooner choked on a note and abruptly stopped signing midway through her rendition of the Christmas tune “O Holy Night.”

Apparently, she thought she could have a do-over.

In online clips from the east coast version of Boyle’s performance, the singer is shown freezing up after being unable to halt the background music.

She’s eventually rescued by “View” co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg, who join her onstage.

“There’s something of an angel that comes out when you open your mouth,” Sheppherd says to smooth over the situation. “It is this amazingly pure sound.”

A “View” rep later told EW.com Boyle re-taped her performance for the west coast version of ABC’s chatfest.

Boyle, the former “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant and YouTube sensation who’s now promoting her new album “The Gift,” will have another chance to makeup for her daytime disaster Tuesday night.

She’s set to perform at NBC’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting.

Let’s hope this time Boyle has a glass of water handy in case another frog appears in her throat.
