Jennifer Lopez Plays “Car-aoke” With Meredith Vieira

Girls just wanna have fun sometimes — and what's more fun than belting out a few tunes while riding in a convertible with the top down?

Jennifer Lopez paid a visit to "The Meredith Vieira" show for its premiere episode, airing Monday, and J.Lo and her host somehow ended up on the open road (or in half of a car in front of a green screen, whichever) playing "Car-aoke" with surprise backseat passenger Hoda Kotb.

Vieira — whose NBC-produced talk show marks her full-time return to television as a host three years after she left "Today" — went first, tackling Gloria Gaynor's epic breakup anthem "I Will Survive."

Easy for Lopez to figure out, right?

Well... maybe not the way Vieira sang it. Let's just say, she shouldn't quit her day job.

About her new daytime venture, Vieira said in a recent interview that she wanted to do something that felt "authentic to me."

"It's hard, it's competitive," she told The Hollywood Reporter in July, talking about the daytime TV landscape. "I don't know who's even watching at 2 o'clock [when her show will air across much of the country]. [The producers] could be lying to me, but they've made it very clear that I don't have to do anything I don't want to do. They backed off on a lot of things."
