The hit comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" starring Larry David is returning for its ninth season, HBO announced Tuesday.
"In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned,'" said David, also known as a co-creator of the hit NBC show "Seinfeld."
The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning series stars David as an over-the-top version of himself. The show is HBO's longest-running scripted comedy or drama series, with 80 episodes.
Details of the new season will be announced as they are confirmed, HBO said.
