Erin Andrews Replacing Brooke Burke-Charvet as “Dancing With the Stars” Co-host

Erin Andrews is in as the new co-host of "Dancing With the Stars."

Just a couple of days after Brooke Burke-Charvet's shocking dismissal from the show, ABC confirmed to that the Fox Sports reporter will replace her in the gig.

Similar to Burke-Charvet, Andrews competed on the show before landing the hosting opportunity, making her rounds on the dance floor in season 10 with dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

In a press release Monday, ABC said Andrews' experience as a sports reporter will "be an asset in hosting a spirited dance competition."

Sources say former E! "Wild On" star Burke-Charvet had no idea her job was on the line, and that ABC told her about the decision Friday afternoon.

"I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting 'DWTS' but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture," the mom of four said in a statement. "I've always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

The 42-year-old star later thanked fans for their support, tweeting, "Thanks for all the love & support. I loved my time in the ballroom & I'll love my next chapter too. Change is positive. Love you guys!"
