Benedict Cumberbatch Meets His Adorable “Arch-Nemesis” on “Sesame Street”

Benedict Cumberbatch met his arch-nemesis, Murray-arty, on "Sesame Street" and it was insanely cute. The "Sherlock" star was tasked with a great "brain-bending challenge": Are there more apples or more oranges on the table?

Benedict Sherlock, sorry, Cumberbatch had to figure out the amount of fruit and called in some help. No, Watson wasn't there, but The Count came to Cumberbatch's rescue. With the help of The Count, Cumberbatch bested Murray-arty and taught some simple math along the way. Another case closed!

NEWS: Why Benedict Cumberbatch Almost Turned Down "Sherlock"

"Sherlock" just wrapped its third season in the US, but a fourth season is already in the works. In fact, "Sherlock" co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss already plotted season five. And Cumberbatch seems game to keep playing the great detective.

"I'm going to keep going with it," Cumberbatch said at TCA. "I play enough other mad people to vary the palate of what I'm scrabbling around in my head as a storyteller...I love [playing Sherlock]. I find it very invigorating."
