‘BBC Dad' Reflects on Mostly Fun, ‘Sometimes Weird' Year of Viral Fame

Professor Robert Kelly was speaking to the BBC live from his home office in South Korea last March when his 4-year-old daughter, Marion, toddled into the room

The professor whose live TV interview was adorably interrupted by his two young children a year ago is reflecting on how his life has changed, "Today" reported.

"People often ask me and my wife what it has been like to suddenly become virally famous," Robert Kelly wrote in an essay published this weekend. "It has mostly been fun, and sometimes weird."

Kelly was speaking to the BBC live from his home office in South Korea last March when his 4-year-old daughter, Marion, toddled into the room. She was followed by her baby-walker bound little brother James and her mother, Kim Jung-A.

Now Kelly's known as "BBC Dad," a moniker he acknowledges the Pusan National University professor will likely carry "for the rest of my life."
