‘Jon & Kate' Husband: Being Photographed With Other Woman ‘Showed Poor Judgement'

Jon Gosselin, patriarch of TLC's reality show "Jon and Kate Plus Eight," said he used "poor judgment" after being photographed leaving a bar late at night with another woman.

According to Us Weekly, Jon was snapped as he exited a bar near his Pennsylvania home with an unnamed brunette after 2 AM on April 18. Once the two saw the photographers, they reportedly hurried into his car and sped away without even turning on the headlights.

One tabloid even claimed a security guard spotted the two passionately kissing in a stairwell.

The spotting came at the same time Jon's wife, Kate, was on the West Coast promoting her new book, "Eight Little Faces."

And while the headline on the new cover of Us Weekly declares Jon was "Caught With Other Woman," the reality patriarch dismissed the claim, calling the woman in the photographs a "female friend."

"Like most people, I have male and female friends and I'm not going to end my friendships just because I'm on TV," Jon said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part."

On the March 4 season finale, viewers of the show heard Jon express his frustrations over his newfound celebrity.

"I can't be Jon – I have to be 'Jon and Kate Plus Eight,' which is a real hard thing for me. I still haven't come to grips with that yet." he said. "If I go out – people know I go out – [they] photograph it and do everything they've got to do."

Back in February, Jon was photographed at a college party, where he was reportedly flirting with co-eds – a claim which Jon also denied.

However, Us Weekly contributing editor Jill Martin said the Gosselins' problems run deep.

"He's been going to local bars. He just roams around by himself, which is really very curious behavior," Martin told Access. "There are neighbors that say they've already separated and he's living above the garage."

As the show gets set to return for a new season on May 25, Jon said he is most bothered by the fact that his actions have put his family in a difficult situation.

"What makes me sick is that my careless behavior has put my family in this uncomfortable position," Jon's statement to Access continued. "My family is the most important thing in my life and it kills me that these allegations have hurt them."
