‘60 Minutes' Sits Down For First Interview With President-Elect Barack Obama

60 Minutes” has scored the first post-election interview with President-Elect Barack Obama.

Correspondent Steve Kroft, a veteran reporter for the long running Sunday night news program, is conducting the interview today in Chicago, according to CBS, which airs the program.

Kroft interviewed Obama as part of a “60 Minutes” special which aired on September 21. He also spent time with the President-Elect’s top aides on Election Night.

According to “60 Minutes,” the program conducted the first joint interview with Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden, in late August.
