Third ‘Twilight' Movie Finds Director

Despite rumors the third "Twilight" film, "Eclipse," might land in the hands of Drew Barrymore, James Mangold and Paul Weitz, brother of "New Moon" director Chris Weitz – the third installment of vampire series will be helmed by a Spanish director.


According to Variety, Juan Antonio Bayona, who directed the Spanish-language horror-thriller "The Orphanage," has been tapped for "Eclipse."

Bayona, who is a protégé of Guillermo Del Toro (director of the upcoming "The Hobbit,"), has never directed an English-language film.


"Eclipse" is slated for a June 30, 2010 release.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, reps for Summit Entertainment, the studio producing the "Twilight" series, could not be reach for comment.
